Lot Description:A gilt copper figure of Hevajra and Nairatmya Sino-Tibetan or Mongolian, late 18th century
the eight headed deity standing on two legs the other two raised, and with sixteen arms originally holding animals and personified elements, the two main arms embracing his consort Nairatmya at his front and holding kapalas supporting an elephant and a seated monk in prayer, Nairatmya depicted with her legs wrapped around Hevajra's waist, both figures adorned with beaded jewellery inset with semi-precious stones, and attire hung with severed heads and skull tiaras, later metal stand
