• Notes:
  This is a study for the figures at the lower right of Lindsay's 1942 oil painting, 'The Only Gods'. Apparently, Harry Lee was the model for the young boy with the harp. Although the certificate of authenticity on the verso of this work and the earlier publication, 'Impulse to Draw' give the date of this study as being 1943, Lin Bloomfield's 2006 publication, 'Norman Lindsay: Oil Paintings 1889-1969', gives the date as being 1942.
