    An Impressive Chinese Suzhou Embroidered Silk Panel
    Qing Dynasty, 19th Century Rectangular, embroidered with a detailed scene of waterfowl, ducks, pheasants, parrots and swallows flying in and around the foliage of a water's edge, the whole worked in a variety of traditional stitches, housed within an original fret worked rosewood frame, (small restoration area to fretwork), the frame 133.5 x 96cm.

    Suzhou embroidery crafted in areas around Suzhou, Jiangsu province was one of four important cultural centres for embroidery design and production in China.
