  SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MKV INSTRUMENT PANEL
  The MK V Spitfire saw frontline service with 452 Sqn RAAF flying from Kenley in the UK from August 1941 and ended frontline service with 457 Sqn RAAF in Darwin, Australia during July 1944.
• Notes:
  From 16 August 1941 until 14 March 1942, famed Melbourne footballer, Squadron Leader K W ‘Bluey’ Truscott DFC & Bar shot down, probably shot down, or damaged at least 17 Messerschmitt Bf-109s flying the Spitfire V.
