Lot Description:A Pair of Victorian Pique Disc Earrings
Each comprising large domed circular tortoise shell disc with a flat top. Each centre is inlaid with gold and silver floral decoration and the surrounding border inlaid with gold and silver geometric design. Each disc surmounted by a smaller half pique dome inlaid with geometric designs. Hook fittings. Circa 1870. Total length 65mm. -
Notes:Condition: Earrings present in very good condition commeasurate with age. The pique panels are well matched and in good condition. Glue is visible on one of the small discs near a jump ring. One larger panel has some varnish visible over the central floral inlay. Hook fittings are 9ct gold.
