  An Important Antique Australian Gold Buckle Brooch 
  Bold entwined buckle design with the folding gold strap set with small natural pearls and a small rose cut diamond. Fine gold filigree detail with blue enamel. Gold herringbone chain fringe tassels. Small oval glazed locket compartment to the reverse. 18 carat yellow gold. Fitted box by Walsh Brothers - 53 Collins St East, Melbourne. Circa 1870.

  Condition: Exceptional condition with fine bloom finish with minimal surface wear. A few tassels slightly bent at the tips. Total weight 21.9gms.
