    A pair of Chinese bronze archaic style Jia wine vessels
    the flared tops with two raised bird form handles, the square form bodies raised on four tapered angular section legs, cast and incised stiff leaf and other decoration, pale turquoise green patina to the entirety. Height 425.
  • Notes:
    The lot is part of a collection of 'archaic' Chinese items from a family collection started by the father upon his return from WWII. His stopover in China started his interest in ancient Chinese artefacts and the collection was continued by the subsequent generation. The family notes that there is difficulty in accurately attributing age to many items. Buyers must satisfy themselves as to the age and authenticity of any items.
