    carved in low relief with a tree in calligraphic style and inscribed "Kang Ji Yi" (name of the vessel) and "Fu Zuo Bao Zun" (Fu made this precious vessel), "Bi Shang Chuan" ("made in the spring of the Kuihai year"), polished wood base on four slight feet; second pot with incised inscriptions including "Qiu Shui San Ren" (name of the maker), recessed base
