  An early 20thC kiwi image poster ‘Buy N.Z. Honey’
  by F.C. Herrick, the kiwi standing above the words ‘Buy N.Z. Honey’ and crowned initials for the issuer ‘Empire Marketing Board’, details printed to the base including ‘Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Thos. Forman & Sons, Nottingham’, printed monogrammed initials top left with the artist’s initials for F.C. Herrick. 710 x 485.
• Notes:
  The National Archives of Surrey, England, hold many posters from this series dated 1927-1933, this image not in their collection. The National Museum Australia notes ‘these posters are highly significant historical artefacts, recording not only commercial art trends and the emergence of modern mass media, but the use of that media in a sophisticated peacetime government propaganda campaign’.
