  • Notes:
The Inanga type of N.Z. jade is highly prized by carvers and is now a rare variety. This mere pounamu was exhibited at the Zi Gang Bei Jade Symposium in Suzhou, China, in 2015 where Lewis Gardiner has received gold and silver medals at this prestigious annual event. The internal markings on the mere are referred to as ‘Pipiwharauroa, The Shimmering Chatoyant Feathers from the Shining Cuckoo’. Complete with Ngai Tahu authentication i.d.
