• Notes:
  This lot is amongst the 52 lots (lots 1 - 52) comprising "The Charlie Reid Estate Tool Collection; Part Two". This lot is from the estate collection of Charles (Charlie or Chay) Alexander Reid (1921-2014). Charlie had started collecting tools to work with when based in the U.K., many of those came to New Zealand with him when he and his family immigrated in 1966. His tool collection grew over the years but once his wife Evie died in 1996, there was no one to temper his passion for collecting. By this time he had amassed a large and comprehensive workshop in the back part of their home, and had space to display his treasures! Charlie was incredibly proud of his collection, and remained an active collector until the end.
