Lot Description:An Australian Collectors Treasury "The Ships That Made Australia" Series of Plates with Illustrations by Dennis Adams
A series of 8 plates in an edition limited to 5,000 sets world-wide, exclusively commissioned by The Australian Collectors Treasury. Each plate is backstamped, identifying the issue in commemeoration of Australia's Bicentenary. Ships comprise: H.M.Brig Lady Nelson 1799-1825, Schooner John Pirie 1827-1850, H.M. Colonial Cutter MERMAID 1815-1829, H.M. BARK ENDEAVOUR 1764-1792, H.M.S Beagle 1819-1896 & Longboat NORFOLK 1798-1800.
