• Notes:
  A dedicated building for women at the Chicago Exhibition marked an important milestone in the suffragette movement. The first female Executive Commissioner to represent an Australian colony, Margaret Windeyer was in charge of the NSW Woman's Work exhibits. A stamp commemorates her and the centenary of the National Council of Women released 8 August 1996.
