with DLR 1d tied by indecipherable Barred Numeral '991' & obvious strike of the 'GARDEN PALACE/NO25/1879/NSW' b/s, Sydney arrival b/s of the same date; also Dec 1879 stampless cover with 'NEW SOUTH WALES GOVERNMENT/ LONDON' cachet' to Morris "via San Francisco" with Sydney arrival b/s. [The numeral is rated RRRR - irrelevant in this instance - but the datestamp is of even greater rarity]. These are the only known examples in private hands. (2 items) -
