(repaired opening faults at top) & long (2, vertical folds) envelopes with imprints 'New South Wales Commission' at top & 'Main Exhibition Building/PHILADELPHIA' at lower-left, to Augustus Morris (2) or his daughter in Sydney with 6c Lincoln pair - straight-edge at left - tied by Philadelphia cds, or 2c Washington + 10c Jefferson or 5c Taylor + 10c Jefferson x2 (overpaid 1c) tied by New York duplex, all addressed by the Colony's agent RW Cameron. Notes:Augustus Morris was a pastoralist & politician who served as an Executive Commissioner to the 1876 Philadelphia Exhibition, a position he used diligently to promote trade with the United States.
