Lot Description:William Champion - Rare bookcase
full cedar with astragal glazed doors, hexagonal columns, flame cedar panel doors, cross banded edge, finely turned feet and unusual tri-form drawer profile, stamped 'W. CHAMPION' under the drawer and chalked 'Mrs D. O'MAY, BELLERIVE' on the the back.
232 cm high, 112 cm wide, 52 cm deep -
Notes:The O'May family have had a long association with Hobart operating the local ferries. Original 19th century patina, Hobart, circa 1840s
