  Presentation Bavarian Cavalry/Artillery Officer'S Sabre
  by W.& K CO; exc 32" slightly curved blade with pipe back, spear point, damascus finish, acid etched with German inscription, (English = for long service) & dated 1893; engraving on blade has stand of flags & trophy to both sides & inner banner has EISENHAUER DEMAST-STAHL, traces of gold wash on the engraving; cast brass guard with stirrup hilt; elaborate lion's head pommel with red jewelled eyes; lion's head cross pc; languets have laurels with crossed swords & spears; stirrup guard embellished with oak leaf decorations; blk fish skin grips bound with woven silver wire; front of knuckle bow marked GESCHUTZTES MUSTER (sealed pattern); complete with correct blk enamelled steel scabbard; o/a exc cond. C.1893.
