  A rare 1902 English proof coin set
  the 13 coins including four in gold: £5, £2, sovereign and half-sovereign; together with the half crown, florin, shilling, sixpence and Maundy set of four, in original fitted box, the red leather exterior with gilt stamped detail ‘Specimen Coins’ above crown, above ‘1902’.
• Provenance:
  ‘The coins are part of a substantial coin collection that my grandfather V.B. (Bruce) Short of Fielding had. We believe that the coins have been in the family for 50 years’. ‘My mother inherited the coins and have been in a safe ever since and very rarely see the light of day’. Bruce Short was Mayor of Fielding from 1965 to 1968.
