Lot Description:A COLLECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF BUILDINGS AND VIEWS IN NEW SOUTH WALES
Presented To The Delegate Representing The Australian Colonies, And New Zealand, At The Intercolonial Conference Held In Sydney, January-February, 1873. Thomas Richards, Government Printer. A collection of 64 albumen photographs (26.5 x 22 cm or smaller) plus photographic frontice piece titled “Representatives of the Australasian Colonies Conference held in Sydney 1873” (20.5 x 16.5 cm) and photographic reproductions of a lithograph of Sydney in 1803 and two panoramas of Circular Quay in 1873. The photographs depict prominent buildings and views of New South Wales, including Flagstaff Hill Observatory, The Exhibition Building, H.M.S. Galatea in Farm Cove, etc. Photographs attributed to Charles Pickering. -
