    and Vegetable productions of New South Wales, New Zealand, and some of the Austral Islands. Octavo, with eight handcoloured lithographed plates and 24 woodcuts, old half calf. London, John Van Voorst, 1860.

    First edition: “a practical, well illustrated guide to the productions of Australia and an active attempt to protect certain Australian species such as the echidna, the emu and the notornis” (Wettenhall). As noted in the preface, “The drawings, with a few exceptions, are from the accurate pencil of Mr. G.F.
