[together with] The History of New South Wales, including Botany Bay, Port Jackson, Parramatta, Sydney, and all its Dependancies from the Original Discovery of the Island: with the Customs and Manners of the Natives; and an Account of the English Colony, from its Foundation, to the Present Time. By George Barrington; Superintendant of the Convicts. Enriched with beautiful Coloured Prints. Two volumes, octavo, engraved titles with coloured vignette, folding map, portrait and 25 coloured plates (one a little stained), full-page wood-engraved view in the text, bound in tree calf of the period (joints repaired). London, Printed for M. Jones, 1810.

    Second, first collected (and expanded), edition of perhaps the best known of all ‘Barrington’ pieces. This edition of the History includes a supplement “bringing down the History of the Settlement to the present Period of 1811” (Preface). Ferguson 486 and 487.
