Lot Description:A 19thC Maori carved tokotoko (walking stick)
attributed to Tene Waitere (1854-1931), four stylised carved and pierced figures, to majority of shaft, paua inset eyes, fine linial and notch highlights, the handle as a stylised albatross head, plain tapered shaft tip end. Length 900. Being assessed for registration. -
