    This work is accompanied by a certificate from Buku-Larrngay Mulka Arts which states: ‘This painting shows the action of the sand crabs transmuting the flesh of a Yambirrku fish as a metaphor for the mortuary rituals of the Manggalili clan at Djarrakpi as the deceased’s soul returns to its font.’
