  An old Chinese blue and white ginger jar
  painted with blossom decoration, scale type decorated ground, banded cog type decoration to the borders, carved hardwood lid and stand with matching complicated knot design panels, four character Kangxi marks in underglaze blue to the base. Height 220, diameter 220, c.1900.
• Provenance:
  From the estate collection of Mr Charles Cox (d.1992), an Auckland businessman who collected through his entire life.
