Lot Description:A Royal Worcester Art Deco hand painted stylish demitasse coffee service
the lidded pot and six cups and saucers each fully painted with an extensive sunset lake and mountain landscape, classical pillars to the foreground covered in flowering vines, further floral and poplar tree highlights, gilt enrichments, signed by the artist Sedgley, printed marks and date code for 1929. Note: Sedgley was held in high esteem by the artists of the Worcester Royal Porcelain Works, retiring as supervisor of the painting department after 54 years’ service in 1928. One cup with professionally restored handle. -
