    A rare pair of quatrefoil- shaped tea ceremony food dishes, early Edo, 18th century
    Each one decorated in the centre with a figure in a boat, the sides with dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl.
  • Provenance:
    R & V Tregaskis, 1980s
  • Notes:
    The inspiration has come from the late Ming wares produced for the Japanese market in the Tianqi and Chongzen periods, 1621-1644.
