  A Chinese jade model of a tiger, Yuan-early Ming dynasty, 14th-15th century
  the well-polished celadon stone with russet inclusions, the animal with his head turned in a snarl, the details finely worked
  4.5 x 8.5 cm

• References:
  For a jade carved seated tiger of a similar period but with head towards the front see the Victoria and Albert Museum (museum number: A.72-1936). For another similar example see 'Chinese Jade Animals', Hong Kong, 1996, pl.149.
