  • Provenance:
    From the estate of Miss Rena Frances Brodie, an artist and good friend of Peggy Spicer, she moved in the circles of the Auckland Rutland Group. Miss ‘Gunner’ Brodie served in Egypt (WWII) as a typist, further lots from her estate pertaining to her war time life included in this auction, see lot 320B. This historically important social commentary painting is a rare find, it is of large scale and in good original condition with original backing paper and painted frame.
