  Vanya Lowry was born in Auckland in 1943, the daughter of Irene and Robert Lowry, renowned publisher, printer and party giver (http://tinyurl.com/Bob-Lowry). The Lowry circle of friends included many of Auckland's literati and arts community. Vanya worked as an artist, illustrator photographer, journalist and reviewer.
