  SYDNEY: “Plan von Sydney der Hauptstadt der Englischen Colonien in Australien”
  [Prague, 1815] by Dr F. Lindner (after Lesueur). This German plan of Sydney is based upon Charles Alexandre Lesueur’s map of 1811.
• Notes:
  Lesueur was a naturalist and explorer who traveled to Australia as the artist on board the expedition of Nicolas Baudin in 1801. At the bottom of the plan is an index locating 38 different buildings or reference points. In this edition, the title cartouche credits Lesueur, however the name is misspelled. Published in Friedrich Ludwig Lindner’s “Der funfte Welttheil oder Australien”. Issued folding on watermarked paper.
