Lot Description:A superb museum quality full tester iron bedstead c. 1860
Following the early Victorian styles featured in the Great Exhibition of 1851, tapered posts on full tester metal beds appeared for the first time with hand-forged head boards and applied brass/ormolu decorative castings. This bed is complete with all mosquito netting apparatus.
