A 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan in barn find condition
Chassis: TBCCadillac was founded in 1902 by master mechanic and entrepreneur Henry Leland who named the company after the founder of Detroit, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. Cadillac quickly established itself as a quality manufacturer of automobiles and is the first American car to win the prestigious Dewar Trophy from the Royal Automobile Club of England. The Cadillac slogan became, Standard of the World." The list of firsts from Cadillac, such as the first production car to feature an electric self-starter is testimony to the company's innovation. By the end of the 1920s the Cadillac name, enriched by designer Harley Earl's work, is synonymous with luxury and style. This 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan despite having gathered dust for the last 20 years still exhibits that luxury and style. Its oral history tells of it having been a high ranking officer's car that was used for official and ceremonial purposes and this would appear to be borne out by the fact that it has the accoutrements of royal endorsement still attached along with official parking stickers still attached to the inside of the windscreen. The car is in need of restoration but appears complete whilst its interior is still in remarkably fine condition. The vehicle was last used on the road in 1964."
