Lot Description:A large and impressive Chinese carved ivory elephant tusk
elaborately pierced and carved with a mountainous village scene including multiple buildings amongst rocks and trees, a graduated four tier temple adorns the middle, further temples to the lower ridges, all on a fitted carved hardwood stand. Length of tusk 810. -
