• Provenance:
  By descent from the vendor's great grandfather Judge Herbert S. Wardell| President of the NZAFA 1907-10| and reputedly gifted to him from the artist| a fellow Academy member. A companion watercolour of the same date with title inscribed on original label affixed verso was sold at Leonard Joel's Australia in 1981 and subsequently at Webb"s in 2008.
