  A model of the "BATAVIA"
  77cm high, 104cm wide, 34cm deep
• Notes:
  The Batavia was built in Amsterdam in 1628 for the Dutch East India Company. Armed with 24 cannon, the Batavia was shipwrecked off the coast of Australia on her maiden voyage and became infamous because of the subsequent mutiny and massacre that took place among the survivors.
