    A clock modelled in the manner of a table globe
    the hemispherical brass case seated in a flat ring decorated with gilt astrological symbols on a turquoise blue ground, raised on three brass turned supports from a mahogany ring plinth. With fusée movement, brass dial engraved 'Bracegirdle, London', with silver chapter ring engraved with Roman numerals for 12 hours each AM and PM. The rotating chapter ring with a blued steel indicator for alternate international and local times. The hour hand in the form of a brass filigree sundial gnomon, a small subsidiary minutes dial with Arabic numerals. The movement scratch engraved 'H.Carter Bowles, Cheltenham, 1950'. Later perspex hemispherical cover. 230 x 240.
