Lot Description:Superb antique 18th century jadeite carving
of jewellery grade, on original wooden base and exhibiting no losses. Rich sculptural quality highlighted by animated and beautifully-rendered 3-birds in peach tree composition, demonstrating the Ming-revival motifs of the Qianlong period. Source stone an excellent traditional hard jade with variegations of green and burl exhibiting a gnarled tree rendition. High translucency and exceptional condition with original fine polishing unmarked. Provenance: [acquired1980’s?] -
