Lot Description:Unusual Transitional Boomerang
Possibly La Perouse, N.S.W. 1933, carved and shaped palm wood, front decorated with incised imagery of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, boat, bi-planes, banner and native flora and fauna along with patterned tips, varnish and blue oil paint, the reverse bearing patterns of perforated dots on an unvarnished surface

hand written label attached verso which reads: Joon Way. Last gift to Mrs Rowland, 1977/ This has been many miles with them. Made by the natives when they were living at the missionary in Australia. Made of coconut wood and carved by them also. -
