'We the undersigned aboriginal natives Tati te Hakiri and Henare Tohora hereby agree to sell to Henry Byron all that piece of land being part of lot Twelve Parish of Horotiu and containing by admeasurement Thirty acres more or less for the sum of Thirty pounds, of which we hereby acknowledge the receipt of Ten pounds on account and we hereby agree to complete the sale at such time as we shall be required.' Signatories include J H M Carpenter of Ngaruawahia and the sellers. Includes receipt for part payment. G. -
