    W. Watson & Sons, Ltd. Metallurgical microscope made in 1943
    A mint condition minocular Watson service mettalurgical compound microscope with course & fine focus adjustments. Black lacquered & black Japan finish, complete without scratches & unblemished chrome parts. Serial no. 78045, made during WWII, complete with a Watson 3 aperture nose piece and an ebonite surface stage with height adjusted by rack & pinion gearing. 3 objectives, 11/2" Versalic metallurgical, a 2/3", a 10mm projection and 12.5 occular. Fitted with original light that fits at right angles into the tube to provide light above the stage. Hardwood cabinet in good condition with original handle and inside the door is also dated with Watson commissioning card and a Watson Victor Australia name plate, also top of limb is engraved Watson Australia & New Zealand
