Lot Description:Spencer Lens Co., Buffalo NY USA microscope, c.1915
Black lacquered & brass compound minocular microscope, serial no. 27551, in excellent condition retaining all original brass & black lacquered finish, 30cm high when closed. In its original finger joint wooden box with original metal handle, accessories drawers, lock etc, but no key. Claw base with rack & pinion course focus & micrometer screw fine focus, triple nose piece, square ebonite covered stage & swing out sub stage condeser with iris diaphragm, plano/concave mirror, in good condition. Accessories: 2 eye pieces, (6X, 10X) and 3 objectives (Spencer 1.8mm, 4mm & 18mm), in original black lacquered containers -
