    MUSKET (famous sire of Carbine - 1890 Melbourne Cup winner & Martini-Henry - 1883 Melbourne Cup winner)
    Remains of an inkwell made from one of Musket's hooves in 1887, presented by Captain Walmsley to Edwin Mitchelson, then presented to the Auckland Racing Club. Comprising top of the inkwell, with engraved inscription; plus Musket's horseshoe. Together with a picture of how Musket's hoof inkwell originally looked before the hoof perished.
