Lot Description:A Victorian Parian bust
‘Mother and Child’ modelled by Raffaele Monti, a veiled mother cradling her baby, mounted on a waisted circular socle, impressed marks to the reverse for Ceramic and Crystal Palace Art Union and Copeland, inscribed signature and date of 1871 to back of bust. (This is a companion piece to ‘The Veiled Bride’). 260 x 360. -
