    A fine Anglo-Indian campaign secretaire chest of 8 drawers
    Camphorwood with reeded ebony drawer blades with sandalwood secondaries. Central drawer fitted with fold out writing slope & compartments. Ornately carved gallery back. Early 19th century.
    Height 128cm, width 113cm, depth 55cm
  • Provenance:
    Formerly the property of Captain Bushrod Bennett Taylor (U.S. Navy) who purchased the chest while serving on the Asiatic Squadron trading with China in the 1860s.
