Lot Description:A pair of hardwood incense stands, Xiangji, Qing dynasty
possibly zitan and elmwood, each of chamfered square section, the top inset with a burlwood panel above a recessed waist and shaped apron carved in relief with interlinked stylised phoenix scrolls, supported on four legs flanked by pierced angular scrolls joined by struts to a central ring enclosing four bats, the legs with further pierced flanges terminating in outscrolled feet above the waisted base centred with a pierced panel of foliate and angular scrolls around a central flowerhead, on corner bracket feet, fitted boxes
