  "This piece is of considerable interest in view of centenary of the Salvation Army in Australia in 1981. Its date of origin must be later than the army set up in South Australia. It is unlikely the Salvation Army to indulge in expensive sterling silver badges in the ordinary way and so this one must have been the Queens Golden Jubilee in 1887" Brian Eggleton
