    marked for Wendt of Adelaide, c.1912 rectangular form engraved with ferns and foliage, initialed "EJJ/1912", weight 60gm, 8cm x 5cm x 1cm
  • Provenance:
    Purchased: Alan Landis Antiques, 1979, with original Eggleton notes
  • Notes:
    "It is of significance that the engraving on this piece is very similar to that depicted on a tea set, also by Wendt and listed as item 116 in the book "Australian Silver" by Hawkins, p83. The item was also part frosted silver. Whether the "T" of the engraved initial on the card case stands for Todd ( to whose daughter the tea set was presented) is unknown, but a coincidence
