  A Vintage Brass Ships Bell "Oakland"
  modelled in typical form with original link chain supports, h , Special Note Possibly from the SS Oakland launched 1890 Dumbarton Scotland , arrived Australia 29th August 1890, and commenced service between Sydney , Newcastle and The Richmond River. Ran aground 1901 the Richmond River Bar, and then relaunched in 1902 . Sunk 1903 due to an unlucky shift in the cargo when going about . Today the Oakland lies in 27 meters of water just near Cabbage Tree Island
