An old large and impressive ormolu and cut crystal Empire style basket chandelier
festooned with strands of graduating facet cut beads from the flaring acanthus leaf top mount above the circular frame with thick opalescent circular glass panels and the main body frame of reeded and ribbon design with eight floral and leaf form arms surrounding the basket base, further floral swags and cast decoration in ormolu. A magnificent example in good original condition. Height 1600, diameter 850. See front cover.
