Lot Description:An inscribed Copper Gilt plaque depicting Kartikey Nepalese, Circa 19th Century
Within a ring of flames and standing, legs akimbo on his vehicle the peacock is Kartikeya the God of War and son of Shiva and Parvati. He holds his principal attribute, the arrow, in his upper left hand, while his lower left hand gestures in warning. Height: 9 ½” (24cm) -
